Spacedock WIP

Description

I have started work on a spacedock model for my various spacecraft. This spacedock, unlike many Trek or Trek-inspired ones, is not an "open" arrangement, but a closed one capable of being pressurized. As a breathable nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere might be to some small extent corrosive to spacecraft components that would otherwise spend their entire existence in the vacuum of space, this atmosphere would be 100% inert nitrogen, requiring spacedock workers to wear an oxygen delivery system (I imagine something like a small O2 bottle/regulator on the belt with delivery tubes to the nostrils similar to that worn by patients in ICU in a hospital) while in an otherwise shirtsleeve environment. This will naturally be somewhat restrictive, but far less so than having to wear a complete pressure suit, and with no risk of punctures or tears to one's garments resulting in death or severe injury from decompression.

The spacecraft located within the present basic shell of the spacedock is one of my Connestoga freighter models in the livery of real world shipping company, American President Lines (APL).

Modeled with SketchUp. Rendered with Kerkythea.

You forgot to mention that we have to anchor the cargo or ship, planes loaded on to carrier are chained to the floor when not using, I think this is even more important in free fall environment. How big is the ship?
