I am chagrined at how quickly the quality of submissions on DA have become since AI tools were allowed. 90% of my feed is AI art, with a tiny minority within genres such as 3D spacecraft art that have yet to catch on with the community. About the only authenticity to be found for non-spacecraft art is with cosplay models who valiantly sally forth with their efforts, and I do my best to recognize them. Listen, Deviant Art: I loathe AI art. It's not authentic. It robs real human creators of agency and recognition. I will not knowingly acknowledge any deviation made with AI. It is the lowest common denominator trash that is currently polluting my feeds.

I had a stockpile of fragments, so it figured it was time to use them. ~About 3000 spent, and then I'll amass another pile to give out. Yeah, it's a DA gimmick, but as long as I have them, might as well use them.

Summer ends, and I have moved to another state, one considerably less intemperate than my home of 23 years. I've been unable to devote any time towards new models or renders of old ones during this time, but that period is about to end as I get settled in my new home. I want to continue with projects/themes I've explored previously, like a Deep Space Explorer of my own creation that ties into my USS Palomino model, I want to do more stuff with my Pyramid & Socialators reboot of Battlestar Galactica, and I want to take a shot at a classic Atomic Rocket model. I can't promise too much between now and the new year (assuming the Universe lets us escape 2020), but these are certainly goals moving forward. Any thoughts?
